Privacy notice

Who we are

This website is run by Leckerstone Labs, based in Fife, Scotland. We are responsible for the personal information you send us through it. If you have a question about this notice or your information, use thecontact form and we will reply by email.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, company or farm if given, your area of interest, the project you chose (if any) and your message.

Like any website, the computers that deliver it see technical information such as your IP address and browser type. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and stop abuse, for example to limit how many messages can be sent from one connection.

How we use it

We use your details only to read and reply to your enquiry and to continue any conversation that follows. We do not add you to a mailing list, use your details for marketing or pass them to anyone else to use for their own purposes. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries people send us.

How your enquiry reaches us

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. When you press send, your enquiry is checked by our website and then sent as an email to the Leckerstone Labs mailbox, using Cloudflare's email service. Reply-to is set to the address you give, so we can answer you directly. The website does not keep a copy of your message, and its technical logs record only whether a message was sent, not what you wrote or your email address. Like any website, Cloudflare's request logs (IP address, browser and approximate location) are kept for a few days for security.

Spam protection

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it is being used by a person rather than an automated program. Turnstile runs in your browser and looks at technical signals from your browser and device. Cloudflare uses this information only to run the check and protect against abuse; it does not use it for advertising. SeeCloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.

Analytics and cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies or store anything in your browser to identify you, and it does not track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and for up to two years after our last contact, unless they have become part of ongoing work with you. Then we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by contacting us through the contact form. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
